We had a 60 x 20 arena laid with drainage. We have the sand/rubber/fibre surface Landtech's work was on time, on budget and was done with minimal fuss and mess. This was important to us as we had to have materials dumped near our neighbours and we didn't want to upset or inconvenience them. The team were pleasant, punctual and very professional.
The arena was laid in July, during a long dry spell of weather and was initially deep as the materials were very dry. However it has now rained and the surface is really good.
I would thoroughly recommend Landtech and the surface.

Arena | Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre
In late 2010, Landtech Solutions extended the main arena to add the benefit of having a 'working in' facility during major competitions.
Due to the falling contours of the ground, the proposed area was built up using quarried sandstone. The arena was then topped with a clopf fibre and topped with rubber. I think you’ll agree the results are spectacular providing Kelsall Hill with a magnificent competition Arena facility.
We are now very pleased to announce that Landtech Solutions are the proud sponsor of the main outdoor arena and it will be now be known as "The Landtech All Weather Arena". The Cheshire arena will host many exciting horse events throughout 2011 and is also available to hire so please visit www.kelsallhill.co.uk for more details.
Gabion Engineering | Cheshire
At Landtech Solutions we specialise in all manner on groundworks and civil engineering whether it be equestrian, agriculture or domestic.
Saltersford is a beautiful property set in Cheshire countryside with breathtaking views over the river weaver. The problem was the gardens and surrounding areas were that overgrown and the grounds running to the river were dangerously steep making it impossible to enjoy the garden. The client wanted a larger drive, and areas creating of level lawns to create an ideal family garden.
Firstly the entire site was cleared and chipped to let the light into the site and expose the beautiful views. Then excavtions began. Firstly terraces were formed and shaped and footings were excavted to form the foundation for the galvanised wire mesh baskets to sit upon. The gabions were constructed to produce flowing walls which create natural shapes that blend into the surroundings. The gabions were filled with a grit stone facing to create the dry stone wall affect. This gabion system is designed to retain ground forces behind them by tilting the gabions slightly back and steeping each layer back into the face. Once all the walls were constructed, the entire site was landscaped and drained as well as an irrigation system installed.

I engaged Landtech Solutions to completely overhaul and re-design our garden and grounds covering approximately 4 acres. Both Pete and Sam were thoroughly professional throughout, gave accurate estimates on timescales, feasibility and budgets and delivered the project on time and within budget – the only thing they exceeded was our expectations. They took great pride in their work, never took shortcuts, suggested and undertook extra work for us that they thought would improve the project as they went along. We faced significant difficulties due to inaccessibility of the site, the very steep slopes and flooding due to collapsed drainage systems. Solutions were found to overcome all difficulties with minimum fuss and some great touches of ingenuity. It would be impossible for me to express the gratitude we have for the tremendous, high quality job that Landtech delivered for us and I really cannot recommend them highly enough to you.

Pete and his team have helped me realise a dream – a stableyard, paddocks and menage of my own. What Pete doesn't know about equestrian developments probably isn't worth knowing! He has been fantastic from start to finish putting himself out at the beginning by taking us to see other developments for ideas. His team are excellent - very hard working, fast and tidy. The whole project came in on budget with no surprises. The finished development looks fantastic and more importantly works cohesively. Don't use anyone else!

I must congratulate you on a first class project which will be a magnificent asset for our future equestrian needs. From day one when we first met to discuss the pros and cons of all aspects of the menage and its construction, we received an excellent professional service which led to a hassle free project.
You and your team have been a pleasure to work with and have produced a facility which we are extremely proud of and is the talk of the area. The quality of work is second to none. We were so impressed with the quality of the fencing on the adjacent area to the menage, we asked you to complete post and rail fencing for the whole perimeter of the field, resulting in a fantastic equestrian area.
I will recommend your company to anyone and please feel free to bring potential customers from the surrounding areas to see your high quality workmanship in the flesh.

Organsdale Gallop | Kelsall
Landtech Solutions won the contract to build the 900m + all weather gallop and return track at Kelsall Hill at the beginning of 2010.
The return tracks approximately 1km were excavated and filled with a quarried sand sub base, to produce an all weather surface to return to the start. In summer 2010 the major earthworks of the gallop commenced, which involved stripping the topsoil of th entire area to also include the grass gallops either side of the synthetic gallop. The sandstone sub layer was then ripped and levelled to produce gentle grades to match the surrounding areas, which was then blended to the surrounding fields. The three metre wide gallop was then marked out using a diiferential global positioning system to produce a perfect arrow straight gallop. The proposed area was then drained down the centre and a clean stone base was laid. A specialist extra thick non woven geo textile was then laid, and topped with a minimum of 6” of synthetic waxed surface supplied by Martin Collins Enterprises. A Duralock race rails was then supplied and installed along either side of the gallop to provide a horse safe barrier. In addition timber post and rail fencing was then supplied and erected five meters back from both sides of the gallop to retain livestock.

Last year we employed Landtech to construct from scratch a 4.5 furlong gallop. This was a huge project for us and we were highly delighted with the quality of the work done by Landtech. Their teams professional attitude, dedication to high standards and easy nature are a credit to them which makes working with them a pleasure. To date they’ve completed about 3km wooden fencing, 2.5km tornado electric fencing, 1 km barbed wire fencing, 2 arenas and a gallop at Organsdale Farm and we would recommend them to anyone considering similar projects.

20 x 40 Arena | Tabley Estate
Landtech Solutions have built arenas in all manner of surroundings but never in a woodland. Planning was granted and a ecological action plan was created to minimise the impact on the surrounding environment.
A specialist sub contractor felled and removed the affected trees. That’s where our job started, all root balls were excavated out and shredded on site. The site was then excavated to produce a perfectly level base to which we then drained and fenced. A limestone drainage layer was then accurately laid, a non woven high quality geo-textile was then laid, battened around the perimeter and sealed along the seams. This arena was then supplied with a silica sand, polypropolene fibre and rubber crumb surface for predominantly personal use. This surface composition allows the surface to bind together whilist maintaining a degree of bounce. The rubber top substantially reduces the effect of frost and significantly slows down the drying effects of the wind.
The surrounding areas were then levelled, re- seeded and post and rail fencing installed around the site perimeter to produce an aesthetically pleasing result.

We engaged Landtech Solutions to assist us with the design and installation of a 20 metre by 40 metre manege together with groundworks including grading, spreading topsoil and seeding a number of new paddocks. Landtech followed our agreed design flawlessly and delivered a top quality menage to the agreed budget and on time. When variations needed to be agreed, these were always agreed in advance and any additional costs clearly identified.
We have no hesitation in recommending Landtech Solutions to you.
